(have considered the various archive entries for this word... but still have a problem)
contracts about use of photographs... the word "exploitation" is used all the time... 1) "droit d'exploitation", 2) "demande d'exploitation", 3) "le montant de la rémunération souhaitée pour l’exploitation de la photographie", 4) "La cession des droits ... est consentie à titre gratuit pour les exploitations visées à l’article 5.2 ci-dessus"...
It seems to me that you can't "operate" a photograph. So should it be:
1) "exploitation rights"
2) "exploitation request"
3) "use"
4) "uses"
or should I use the word "exploitation" or the word "use"/"usage" all the time...? to me neither feels right

Note from asker:
check this out... http://www.proz.com/kudoz/735368 --- Francis Marc's answer is a textbook referenced answer, "exploitation rights" I think it's a shame someone graded this as "non-Pro"... this problem is more subtle than that |
