Context I'd certainly like to have more context than we have at the moment before feeling safe enough to make a suggestion.
If I understand correctly, this appears on a lawyer's fee note. Is it one of a list of items being charged? Or is it the heading for a list of itmes on the fee note?

If it is about une facture d'un avocat, then agreement between client and lawyer.

Anyway, there is - or used to be - both in France and the UK a vourt-ordered reduction process called 'taxing-off' (in E&W, usually a one-third scale-down of an exorbitant lawyer's invoice). I am unclear if such a judicial direction preceded this arrangement.
