French term
"EDEC"
French to English
Other
Construction / Civil Engineering
I have an architectural plan of an apartment to translate, and it is full of acronyms and abbreviations, all of which I have found apart from "EDEC"
It appears next to a "pl." (placard) and its space on the plan is about the same as the cupboards.
Any ideas what it might stand for?
Thanks!

Electrical stuff
Do all the apartments have this, and are they above each other on each floor?
Could be a technical duct for something like Electricité, Domotique, Electronique, Câblage .....

I saw a number of those "EDEC" too, but I can't see "Entretien"* and "Dépannage" being applicable in your case.
* Not in the sense of "entretien électrique" in any case. In the sense of "broom cupboard", yes.

Note from asker:
The plan I have is just for one apartment so I have no information about other apartments in the building or other parts of the building. You're suggestion is helpful though, will keep looking and let you know |
Just found: Electricité Dépannage Entretien Câblage on severale sites, including: www.lesclesdumidi.com/annuaire-gennevilliers-electricien.html What do you think? |

This what I am used to see on architectural or structural blueprints. But now ESD is the object of a patent. Now they use "Building Services Ducts".

Note from asker:
This makes sense as a suggestion, how do you know ESD is a translation of EDEC? Please provide a reference/source. Thanks! |
