"Value" would be the term used by English-speaking graphics types when referring to the relative darkness or lightness of a colour.
I've always had a problem with this particular piece of jargon because its meaning _as jargon_ is not widely known or understood, while it conflicts utterly with the normal colloquial use of the word.
So I'd suggest that while the two supplementary contexts are sufficiently technical to alert the reader not to make colloquial assumptions, the first context might be better served by something like "depth of colour".
