RPM
First if it is Automotive, If it is internal combustion it is an Engine and not a motor. A motor is an electrically operated unit.
Please ensure you are using Engine and motor in the correct places.
I would change this sentence from :
with the motor automatically spinning up or down to match revs .
To:
with the motor / Engine equalizing revs (of the ????? )by adjusting up or down automatically .
The first sentence could give the impression that the complete motor is spinning up and down to match the revs of the motor. (or something else that hasn't been mentioned)
The revs are the the number of complete times the crankshaft / armature of the engine / motor rotates during a one minute cycle. = RPM.
So this crankshaft / armature RPM (REVS) is automatically adjusted to match something else that is not mentioned in your original text. It may be another motor /engine. But the text seams to have some missing information.
I am not being picky, Just trying to help with some suggestions.
I hope this helps.
