My feeling is that if they call themselves "Orthodox", they do not think of themselves as dissident but rather as a core group true to the original beliefs.

: De acuerdo con tu segunda opción: separadas. Así se refieren todas las iglesias con respecto a sus desprendimientos. Verifiqué al buscar "sectas separadas".
