Me interesaría saber qué interpretan por "pebble upon the ground" (relación ciencia / literatura) y cómo lo traducirían; también, me gustaría saber que piensan de la utiización de "four" corners. Gracias de antemano. saludos

Parece que viene de un libro "The Pebble in my Pocket : A History of Our Earth" de Meredith Hooper. Una niña encuentra una piedrecita y se pregunta de dónde viene. Me parece que lo importante de la metáfora aquí es que la telaraña está siempre en contacto con el mundo, o sea la vida. La piedrecita se puede cojer, llevar y poner en otro sitio: está independiente en cierto modo del mundo, aunque se puede estudiar y descubrir muchas cosas a través de ella acera de la edad de la tierra, etc. La teleraña no puede existir fuera de su lugar: se rompe, se descompone y esta anclada a su sitio. La obra de ficción sólo puede existir dentro de su contexto, y se ancla en la vida misma que la rodea... por cierto, no me gusta la metáfora.
