English term

Darting to and fro

English to Spanish Art/Literary Other Espiritualidad
Hi,

I'm looking for a good alternative in Spanish for this expression.

Here's the entire context:

Thanks in advance!

"With careful observation
you will notice two things
that seem to be within you.

One is active chatter.
It has concerns.
It is *darting to and fro*.

The other is silence.
It may feel like trust
when the mind does not trust.
It may feel like patience
when the mind is afraid.
But what it is, is stillness.

Observe these two things,
and then ask, "What am I?"

Learn to recognize and identify with
your Self."

Thank you too Victor!
@Patricia, "I do prefer a straight and very simple answer because it helps me a lot in trying to keep the original meaning": me too, no doubt!
Thanks to you for your understanding and kindness!
Patricia González Schütz (asker) Apr 29:
@ Victor, thank you for your comment. When I first read your response, I was mislead; I read your answers as independent from each other, as various answers, should have taken more time. Having said that, I do prefer a straight and very simple answer because it helps me a lot in trying to keep the original meaning, but of course everyone can write their own as they wish, and I do appreciate everyone's contribution and your time for doing so!!
@ Beatriz, yes, I understand what you mean here!
That's why it's always good to take time to think about the best possible answer one wishes to give, there is plenty of time and I will only accept one answer per person. I forgot to say it this time, my bad.
Yes @Patricia, I agree, but this time I could not decide for one or the other (in thiscase is not bad for glossary purposes I think). Anyway, others can also post an answer and the asker decide to accept that one.
Patricia González Schütz (asker) Apr 28:
Hi, I think it is fair for others to just post one answer, thanks.
