"also, it doesn't address the feature language. I need to check with my label and get the OK.
Otherwise I'll just skip the artist feature. It'd be good to have the track to run by the label. How far are they from completing it?"”

tener el tema para que lo escuche la discográfica
Track refers to the recorded song, and, given the context, I would think they want to hear the song to check the "feature language" by themselves.

tener la pista para que la gestione la discográfica
Me gustaría tener la pista para que la gestione la discográfica.
I've been trying to work out if it could possibly refer to a new type of tracking software whereby the label would let fans "track" new releases by artists, but I think I'm reading too much into it.
So I reckon that it is a short way of saying "It'd by good if you could send me the track so that I can pass it on to my label, so that they can manage it."

: I agree with "pista" for track, but not "gestione" for run by. See Charles' comments to Juan's answer.
