sistema inmunitario/defensas de la mucosa intestinal

En inglés, es bastante frecuente el uso impropio e inespecífico de 'gastrointestinal' para referirse a cualquier parte del aparato digestivo o a todo el aparato. En español, 'gastrointestinal' significa todo lo relacionado con el estómago y los intestinos (DTME), si bien ya se ve bastante este término usado a la inglesa.

Por lo que he leído, esté término se emplea en referencia a la mucosa del intestino. Es importante ser precisos en este caso, pues la mucosa del estómago carece de tejido linfático.
