exactly, I thought of those 3 terms you have just mentioned. I think it is a toss up! I will just pick up one of them, thanx anyway.

who is responsible for some kind of legal issues, like dealing with Companies House.
exe a.s. Jul 14, 2004:
Cyprus is a former British colony so I think the law is similar. There are 3 relevant terms, none of them is equivalent - konatel, prokurista, statutar. Secretary is a person (I think that also company can be a secretary)
Non-ProZ.com Jul 14, 2004:
exe: by the way, it is a certificate from Cyprus - therefore I was wondering what they called a Secretary in a Ltd. as I couldnt find an appropriate expression for this possition referring to the Slovak Commercial register.

exe a.s. Jul 14, 2004:
However, is Slovakia there is only one person representing the s.r.o. - konatel. See http://www.orsr.sk. Definitely, there is no certificate for konatel, only "vypis z obchodneho registra" declaring his position.
exe a.s. Jul 14, 2004:
When you set up a Ltd. company in UK, you have to provide two persons representing the company to the state bodies - Director and Secretary. The secretary must have permanent residence in UK, directors can be foreigner.
Non-ProZ.com Jul 14, 2004:
exe: But the official document says it does exist! it is called "Secretarys certificate"
