What is Delta-E?
Delta-E is a single number that use to calculate and quantifies the distance between two colors.
The higher Delta-E, the greater the difference between the two sample colors.
The Delta-E of 1.0 is the smallest color difference the human eye can see.
A Delta-E between 3 and 6 is acceptable in commercial reproduction on printing presses.

Che per "device" si intenda il monitor, col tempo lo schermo potrebbe non riprodurre fedelmente i colori, e ce ne accorgiamo quando stampiamo un'immagine. Per questo, si deve calibrarlo. Da quanto capisco, questa Delta-E è un'unità di misura che indica la differenza tra i due colori, quello sullo schermo e quello sulla carta.
Se si intende "stampante", anche i colori di questa possono essere calibrati.

Il problema è che in italiano non abbiamo un contrario di "calibrato" a parte appunto starato o sfasato. Casomai, perché non girare la frase con "per controllare se il dispositivo (stampante o monitor, vedi te dal contesto) è calibrato"?
Se si intende "stampante", anche i colori di questa possono essere calibrati.
