In riferimento a cavi di interconnessione a fibra ottica, il termine "timing" compare in diverse espressioni:

"Light can take many paths to reach the far end causing the input signal to be distorted by timing differences between the different paths."

"Because the fibres are so small (50mm) the different paths taken by the light rays are similar in length reducing the timing error and introducing less distortion."

"Further steps have been taken to eliminate minute timing errors in the cable by the use of offset conductor diameters and a special floating Zn/Mn ferrite jacket."

Si tratta semplicamente di "errori di sfasamento"?
