Sembra proprio essere la pausa lettura durante il corso perché gli studenti abbiano tempo di leggere i romanzi, racconti del programma:
The short story or the longer novella were key forms because they could be read while commuting to work or taking a BREAK. This week we shall read two novellas and one short story, all of which use popular forms but employ them in highly complex ways.

Sarebbe un breve periodo di sospensione delle lezioni, una vacanza di qualche giono che riguarda alcuni o tutti i corsi di un college. Semplicemente, un periodo in cui non ci sono lezioni.
