English to German Medical Medical: Instruments

The purpose of this panel is to assist with the medio/lateral positioning of the femoral implant on the condyle, adjust the axial rotation of the posterior cut and use the Pointer to provie flexion and varus/valgus guidance for the femoral lug or peg hole drilling.
The panel consists of two subtasks: Rotation and Lug Hole Position.

LUG HOLE:
The purpose of this screen is to locate the target medio/lateral position of the femoral implant on the distal condyle with respect to the tibial insert position and provide a tool to align in flexion and varus/valgus the femoral peg drilling with respect to the femoral mechanical axis.
Refer to Figure 4.20 for the detailed instructions about the Lug Hole alignement.

POINTER ALIGNMENT:
1. Position the registration pointer on the distal femur and adjust its flexion/extension and Varus/Valgus alignment.
2. Once oriented as desired, the long axis of the pointer can be used as a reference for Lug Hole drilling.
