• The stop position has the same (single) cam to indicate the stop position of the knives once per revolution.

• The intermittent position has separate multiple cams.
When these cams are rotating with the main shaft, they give a much more complicated picture, activating the stop position and the intermittent cutting position successively. (See figure below)
