Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): PLR TRADUZIO (X), Drmanu49

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Tony M Jan 17, 2015:
instrument Note there are many different possible types of 'instrument'; some people seem to be thinking of this in term of small laboratory articles (as indeed one might imagine 'surgical instruments' too), but my first thought was some kind of electrical test instrument (appareil) — hence why my thinking was more along the lines of an 'equipment rack'; given that there is an element of reproducing the "physical placement of the instrument in the rack" on the dashboard, this might be a logical enough reading.

Tony M Jan 16, 2015:
rack In certain contexts, we are not talking about a mere storage rack, or rack for holding or organizing things, but sometimes an installation rack; very often, in EN, 'rack' in this sort of sense in fact means an international standard 19" rack.
In that SPECIFIC context, the word 'rack' seems to have wide acceptance in FR as well as EN, and you depart from it at your peril. Hence a little extra context wouldn't go amiss, to help identify just what kind of rack is involved here?
orgogozo (asker) Jan 16, 2015:
PLR TRADUZIO (X) Jan 16, 2015:
physical placement of the instrument in the rack et quelle autre possibilité sinon le rack qui porte physiquement l'appareil ?
orgogozo (asker) Jan 16, 2015:
What else Je pense qu'il y a plusieurs possibilités, mais je vais mettre rack
