He hung up the phone. (not "my" phone)
Second, where are the two people located? Because the way the sentence is written seems to imply that the two people are in the same room together. One (the speaker) is on the phone with a third party, and the second person hangs up the phone (perhaps grabbing it from his hand, although not necessarily) so that the person cannot continue his conversation.
"Phone" means the actual device (the telephone) and does not mean the "call" or "phone call."
