Track and Line Gitte is right, also, a line might have more than one dedicated track. Like when I lived in Norway, Østfoldbanen could leave from track 18 or 19.

I think you are right and they are just two different words for the same thing, but it would be easier to tell if we could see the context they are in.

spor = the individual track
bane = the line, which might have more than one track

Just guessing here...
