I absolutely agree with you. The most common translation of \"nyistandsat\" is \"redecorated/refurbished\" and I did put this in my explanation as an option depending on the context of the text. I just wanted to highlight the possibility, due to personal experience, that it could also mean a renewal or reinstatement of the lease itself.
If it is referring to an apartment, then "nyistandsat" can mean renovated or redecorated.

: refurbished or reinstated: lejemålet can - besides the letting - also be the target of the tenancy i.e. 'the demised premises'.
