Danish term

restferie

Danish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
Der er mellem parterne aftale om at al ferie, rest- og hovedferie kan varsles til afholdelse med 1 måneds varsel.

"Miscellaneous vacation"? "Residual vacation"? "Non-summer vacation"? Looking for a good phrase here.

residual holiday or unused vacation time

Not sure if you need British or American English...
Residual holiday (British) (i.e. holiday taken outside the company's holiday period); most companies require their employees to take holidays during the industrial holiday in Denmark. If an employee decides to take a week off in March, this would be referred to as residual holiday as far as I know. Holiday not taken within the 12 months that they were supposed to, is referred to as carried-over holiday, but I don't think that is what is referred to here. I think your safest bet is to simply say 'residual holiday' (or 'unused vacation time' for U.S. English)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks. Since most Danes take their holiday in the summer, the idea of "residual holiday" works. Takk!"
