A person or group of people who are under 'reklamebeskyttelse,' are protected (beskyttet) from the use of that company/individual's information (such as address, phone number, email, etc.) for the purpose of advertising (reklamering). This entails that the CVR (roughly translated the Central Registry of Undertakings), which holds and is free to dispurse personal information throughout the population and institutions of the land, will at your request restrict access to your information and make it punishable by law (a hefty fine) to use your personal information for marketing or advertising purposes. This prevents e.g telphone salesmen and survey takers from obtaining your information and bombarding you with telephone calls and junkmail until you eventually submit to their wishes.
Reklamebeskyttelse is in this sense a privacy policy on the national scale. I'm not quite sure what the equivalent is in english, if there is one, but i don't believe it has much to do with patenting.
