拉格朗日型模型中,只有时间t是独立变量,这类模型主要包括常微分方程 (ordinary differential equations,简记ODE)和差分方程(difference equations,简记 DE),后者也叫映射。此外还有格子映射(lattice maps,简记为LM)。用整数m和n 表示维数(方程式的个数),R记连续欧氏空间,Z记实整数,t代 表时间,x(t)代表模型(时间的函数)。当t∈R,x (t)∈R^n时,有常微分方程。当t∈Z,x (t)∈R^n时,有差分方程。当t∈Z,x( t)∈Z^n时,有格子映射。显然,至少还有一种重要的逻辑可能性,即t∈R,x(t)∈Z^n,暂且叫它突变模型 (catastrophe models)。突变模型是很有价值的,它代表时间连续变化,但物理量却离散变 化的类型,比如地震就是这种情况。
