Hadarah Qibly Thank you all for your help. With further scrutiny of the document, it turns out that the initials are �/�. There was a dot from the line above the "Ha`" that confused me. With this, I am quite sure the initials stand for ���� ����. You do have to be a native of Alexandria to figure this one out. Thanks again everyone.

Sam That was a major blunder. It is makwagi al-sa'adah, you can no longer answer that question now:):) Seriously. I grew up around that neighborhood, and while there is a large cemetery there indeed, the area is known for other things; the beach, the University of Alexandria main building and several campuses, the famous soccer club Al-Ittihad assakandari, the youth club and mosque ����� ������ ��������, the old French school Licee Francais -my first school until 4th grade- and the Vatican-run College San Marc, etc. A lot of famous landmarks, and there are also no homes around the cemeteries. Despite my familiarity with the area, I can't figure out �/� :(

I believe that trying to guess is not good. If the context is related to an address, maybe you should go back to your client and clear this matter up. It is not a problem to go back to the client when there are ambiguities not related to translation

I just looked at a map of Alexandria. Chatbi is known for its cemetaries, and cemetary in Egyptian Arabic is �����. I am guessing here, of course.

Probably I think so too. The city is a given, since he is a marriage clerk in Alexandria. My original guess was ��� �����, but my wife, who is actually helping me with this job, then told me maybe ��� ����� �������. In other words, I was making a big assumption, so I decided not to bias anyone's judgment.

couldn't that be a part of the address? because it seems from the context that the address provided is not complete, it only mentions the number of the building and the street, but no region or city.
