MemoQ won't launch after crash

Hi,

MemoQ crashed during a spellcheck on a project this morning. When I try to relaunch the program, an error message appears and MemoQ stops loading. The pop-up message says I can "safely continue my work", but MemoQ doesn't get beyond the initialising stage before crashing again.

I've submitted a support ticket to MemoQ but haven't had any response all day, so I'm asking here in case anyone can help. Does anyone have any suggestions? Older versions of MemoQ seem to no... See more

Rename Preferences.xml to Preferences_old.xml Nov 13

Go to C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\memoQ and rename the Preferences.xml file into Preferences_old.xml. If the problem persists, delete the new Preferences.xml and rename Preferences_old.xml back into Preferences.xml.

Sadly hasn't helped Nov 13

That was the first thing I tried, but sadly no improvement. MemoQ did eventually respond to me and asked me to delete the following files, but this also hasn't helped:
- DockLayoutConfigs.bin
- Preferences-editor.xml
- Preferences-layout.xml
- Preferences-lookup.xml

Currently still waiting to hear back from them.

Getting MemoQ support Nov 13

When asking for support from MemoQ, be sure to log on at support.memoq.com, where you can set the ticket's priority. Critical issues (such as can't export a finished job), in my experience, are responded to quite quickly, sometimes in a few minutes, when set to the proper priority. Low priority tickets might take several days.
