Dear Colleagues

Following the demand, expressed during various ProZ.com conferences and the experiences from my experiment in Edinburgh on November 12 last year my colleague Maciej Andrzejczak and me started to organise a series of Trados trainings in Poland this year.

There shall be 6 sessions, which will be held:

Following the demand, expressed during various ProZ.com conferences and the experiences from my experiment in Edinburgh on November 12 last year my colleague Maciej Andrzejczak and me started to organise a series of Trados trainings in Poland this year.

There shall be 6 sessions, which will be held:

  • March 10 in Wroclaw, a beginners session, 11:30 - 19:30
  • March 12&13 in Poznan, one beginners and one intermediate session, 9:30 - 17:30
  • March 14&15 in Warsaw, one beginners and one intermediate session, 9:30 - 17:30
  • March 16 in Krakow, a beginners session, 9:30 - 17:30


Coffe breaks and lunch will be provided.

Preliminary session content:
Beginners

    - What is Trados/CAT in general
    - What can be used for
    - Setting up Trados in PC, arranging windows etc.
    - Important settings in Trados
    - Preparing Word for Work with Trados
    - How to translate an easy Word file
    - What to do with bad formatting
    - What to do if format changes appear
    - Using Tageditor to translate Word
    - What is tagged text
    - Using Tageditor to translate other formats, as Excel or Powerpoint and other
    - Creating a Multiterm database from Excel sheet


Advanced

    - Important settings in Trados
    - Translating an easy Word file with bad formatting
    - What to do if formatting changes in Word
    - Translating Word with Tageditor
    - Translating other MS-formats with Tageditor
    - Preparing and translating DTP formats in Tageditor or Word
    - Tips and tricks
    - Creating MT database from Excel sheet


All above information is subject to change.

If you are interested and would like to see something else/more
included in the sessions, I would be thankfull for your tipps. You

The price for the session is PLN 375 per person and day.
To register, please write an e-mail at [email protected] and include the city and level you wish to particpate in.
You will need to pay PLN 100 in advance until Feb 20, and the rest until March 5 on an account, which will be given to you.
We reserve the right to cancel any session and refund the payments, if the number of attendees shall be less than 15 per session.
