Bristol/Bath on the map!

First of all a big thank you to all of you who made the effort to come. So with no further delay ( drum roll )the roll of honour for those people who attended the FIRST EVER Powow in Bristol runs like this:

-David Angel ( Bath if I remember correctly )
-Sue Brook
-Julian Wood
-Iris Pallokowsk
-John Mcdonnell ( all the way from Cardiff )
-Martyn Naarding
-Amal Sabir Ali ( Bath )
-Lindsay Sparling
-Elisabeth Hippe ( last but not least you got us into double figures!!)

and myself.

Subjects discussed included Software, Browniz, and Kudoz points, Proz rates, getting paid, certified translations, getting work, specialising, Insurance, improving your cv, the Watershed menu, the fabulous views over the water etc etc.

We left a date for a next meeting open but the feeling seemed to be that there should at least be another one in Bristol possible Bath ( Amal ) this year. It was great to see you all and I really feel it was worthwile, I think you'll all agree it was a great venue, just the kind of Cosmopolitan place for translators to meet.( They have shown and do show some great films there about which I could rave for hours but I have to stop.) Bye!

Jun 1 '05  Jane Griffiths (X): Sorry, I've just seen the report
Apologies, I don't know why I didn't see the report straight away. I'm glad it went well and hope to be able to come next time.
Jun 1 '05  Jane Griffiths (X): How did it go?
I had a brilliant time in Devon that weekend, but I'm wondering how you got on at the Watershed? How many people were there? Were there enough tables? Did you have a good time?
