Modesty demands that we speak little and modestly about ourselves. But the Hell that is this contemporary world drives us to become braggarts; otherwise survival itself is impossible in this ruthlessly competitive world with everyone wretchedly forlorn and running for his life, as if, at full speed and like a completely mad man.
It is said that misfortunes teach a person well and steel him or her in the process. It is with neither any pride nor with any dejection that I declare unto you that I too have had my share of great misfortunes. Born a completely secular person in the all-communal milieu of Kashmir, born into a family that belonged to the minority community... with the leaders of the nation fully engaged in sowing, cultivating and harvesting the fruits of communalism... Born a rational amongst the irrational; born a lover of learning and wisdom in the milieu of money-looters; born a lover of freedom amongst the adoreres of slavery;...
If the stake is the love's stake
Put it if you wish so, what fear!
Win, if you do, what a grace and glory!
Even if you lose the defeated isn't the stake!

Be it Bush or Blaire or the UN General Secretary or anybody else, I know what vanities, compulsions, illusions and idiocies are dominant upon their minds. I can tell you one simple thing: Show me just one selfless, self-respecting, just, honest and wise person in the world that says, "Bush is my president" or "Blaire was my prime minister" or something like that, and you can take away from me all I have...
The basic reality hidden behind the claims of "civilized world", "great cultures", "human rights", and so forth is: THE WORLD IN GENERAL AND INDIA IN PARTICULAR IS THE LAND OF UNCOUNTABLE NUMBER OF SCOUNDRELS OF EVERY IMAGINABLE AND UNIMAGINABLE VARIETY AND CRAFT. AND TO SURVIVE UNDER SUCH HELLISH CONDITIONS IS A TASK INDEED!
I SAY: FIE ON SUCH A WORLD!
ISAY: SHAME ON SUCH BHARAT MATA!
I SAY: DOWN WITH SUCH A HELL!
