Bio:Shana Pughe Dean is currently the Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Training at the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees, Utica NY. In this role she oversees Tone translation services, online content management, and the development of cultural competency training. From January 2011 through August 2014 she worked as the Manager of the Compass Interpreters division of the Refugee Center. Shana holds a B.A. from Utica College in International Studies with minors in Human Rights and Spanish and a M.A. in International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Kyi Kyi Min is the Translation Services Coordinator for the Tone Translate division of the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees. Kyi Kyi is originally from Burma and speaks her native Burmese language and English. Prior to her current position Kyi Kyi worked as a medial interpreter and is accredited by the Cross Cultural Healthcare Program. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Botany from Burma and in 2012 earned a Bachelor of Theology from Newburgh Theological Seminary& College of the Bible (Indiana, U.S.A). From 2013 to 2014 she taught Advanced Burmese at Cornell University.
