Romanian to English: The lifetime-value of happy customers
Source text - Romanian With the EU accession of Romania just around the corner Romanian companies should be aware of the wave of new companies that will enter the Romanian market without any restrictions. The borders will open and the territory for European companies will increase overnight. The Romanian market is even more interesting because the growth difference between most Western Economies and the Romanian Economy is substantial. While in the Western countries growth figures of 1 % (or less) are more common than exception, the Romanian economic growth figure of around 8 % will attract thousands of companies overnight. Especially for genuine Romanian companies under Romanian management this new EU environment can be a threatening situation. Due to historical reasons (the post-communistic trauma) the marketing and customer oriented thinking is not developed yet as it could and should be, while on the customer side of life increasing income and an increasing offer of similar products will decrease customer loyalty rapidly. The bell for the last round before the real battle is ringing. Time to sharpen your marketing strategy and to increase customer loyalty.
Translation - English Integrarea României în Uniunea Europeană fiind atât de aproape, companiile româneşti trebuie să fie conştiente de valul de noi companii care au să pătrundă pe piaţa românească fără restricţii. Se vor deschide graniţele şi teritoriile aflate la dispoziţia companiilor europene vor creşte peste noapte. Piaţa românească este foarte atractivă pentru ele, ca urmare a diferenţei substanţiale de dezvoltare dintre majoritatea economiilor din Europa Occidentală şi economia română. În timp ce în ţările occidentale creşterea economică înregistrează rate de 1 % (sau mai mici), acestea fiind cazuri mai degrabă comune şi nu excepţii, rata de creştere economică a României, de aproximativ 8 %, va atrage mii de companii peste noapte. În special pentru companiile cu personal şi conducere integral românească, acest nou mediu care este Uniunea Europeană se poate dovedi periculos. Din motive istorice (trauma post-comunistă) gândirea de marketing şi orientată către clienţi nu este încă dezvoltată aşa cum ar putea şi ar trebui să fie, în timp ce, din punctul de vedere al clientului, veniturile în creştere şi ofertele din ce în ce mai cuprinzătoare de produse similare sunt de natură a scădea rapid fidelitatea acestuia. Source text - English Astfel, taxa radio/tv este in continuare legata de calitatea de posesor al unui re- ceptor de radio si/sau de televiziune, dandu-se posibilitatea persoanelor fizice sa se ex- cepteze de la plata acesteia printr-o simpla declaratie ca nu poseda un asemenea recep tor, situatie care, combinata si cu dificultatile reale de control al celor care declara ca nu au un receptor raduo/tv, a condus in prezent la existenta unui procent de 41% dintre romani – persoane fizice care sunt exceptati de la plata taxei pe baza declaratiei scrise ca nu poseda receptor radio/tv si a unui procent similar in randul persoanelor juridice, Cu toate acestea, dintr-o simpla comparare a acestor declaratii de exceptare cu datele de audienta ale Consilului National al Audiovizualului rezulta ca peste 90% dintre locu- intele romanilor sunt dotate cu astfel de receptoare, situatie care reflecta o puternica tendinta de evaziune de la plata taxei in prezent, resimtita in mod accentuat la nivelul ce lor doua societati in ultimii doi ani.
Translation - Romanian Thus, the radio/TV fee is still connected to the ownership of a radio and/or television receiver, allowing individuals to refuse payment thereof by a simple statement that they do not own such a receiver, which, in combination with the real control problems for such individuals who declare not to own a radio/TV receiver, currently lead to 41% of the Romanian citizens – natural entities – to be exempted from payment based on their written statement not to own such a radio/TV receiver, with a similar percentage among the legal entities. Nevertheless, a simple comparison of such exemption statements with the audience ratings of the National Audio-Visual Council shows that over 90% of all homes have such receivers, which shows a strong trend of avoiding the current payment, seriously felt by the two companies during the past two years.
