Um resfriador a ar utiliza o ar ambiente como fonte de resfriamento , o que conduz a
particularidades bastante especificas no que tange ao seu dimensionamento e
operação. Por outro lado , em uma época em que há consciência para problemas
referentes a ecologia e ao seu equilíbrio no ambiente em que vivemos , a operação de
um resfriador a ar pode ser , sem duvida alguma , vista como uma contribuição positiva
nesta direção .

Air coolers form a type of equipment that still has a restricted number of installations operating in Brazil. However, the number of these installations increases constantly as a result of the cooling resources availability limitation which most known fluid is water.
An air cooler uses the ambient air as a cooling resource that leads to special peculiarities. This influences its dimensioning and operation. On the other side, in the time when there is consciousness regarding problems with ecology and its balance with the ambient in which we live, the operation of an air cooler, no doubt, can be seen as a positive contribution in this aspect.
