I am a professional translator and interpreter, and quite proud of it: I place the highest value on delivering top-notch work. But I also believe that this is a two-way deal. I like to know who my clients are, to best cater to their exact needs and deliver the best possible product. Therefore, I cannot (and will not) accept unsolicited requests for translation or interpretation jobs through the Internet from people or organizations that are either unknown to me, or presented anonymously; I reserve absolute discretion in providing my credentials, just as I guarantee absolute discretion concerning my clients' commissioned works.
However, I am also both happy and privileged to participate and interact with my peers on the forums, which is why I'm pleased to be a member of the Proz community!
Again, and just in case: I am not looking for work via the Internet. Do not contact me with job offers, requests for tenders, or other business-related offers; I will not consider business proposals arriving through anonymous channels. Besides, unsolicited offers from unverified persons (certainly when automatically generated) tend to be trapped in my sadly ruthless spam filter, and I simply do not check on it; please save yourself from investing any unrewarding time and effort.
Important final notes: it may also be of benefit to you to know that I aggressively report spam and malware incidents, and reserve full discretion in their prosecution. Offenders, beware! Furthermore, I do not grant and certainly do not recognize privacy in any unsolicited email. If you do not like the possibility of information derived from your email to appear "out there," do not send me any unsolicited email whatsoever, period. If you don't like my thrifty yet steadfast stance on email communication, direct your complaints to your government and demand prompt and strong action on the ridiculous fact that 95% of all email sent out today is junk, and mostly criminal junk at that.
