In addition to being a translator and interpreter myself, IHAYA INTERCONNECT also operates as an agency, providing clients with quality interpreters and translations in multiple languages. Remote-interpreting also available in both simultaneous and consecutive modes.
As a consecutive and simultaneous interpreter, my experience includes interpreting at depositions (patents, product liability, breach of contract, antitrust, among others), trials, arbitration, business meetings, conferences, medical lectures, PMDA audits, focus groups and presentations, training sessions and tours. I travel globally, including to Japan to interpret at depositions at the US Embassy/Consulates. Can also provide portable simultaneous interpreting equipment for up to 10 people if necessary.
As a translator, I currently only accept assignments from direct clients. I translate from Japanese to English and vice versa, also providing editing and proofreading services. Over the years, I have translated various brochures and marketing materials, annual reports, legal documents, deposition transcripts, IT manuals and procedures, medical equipment manuals, newsletters, HTML pages, movie, TV, video and videogame scripts, motor vehicle export certificates and a variety of other materials.
