I am a certified Spanish-to-English and English-to-Spanish translator who graduated from the National University of La Plata. I have over 16 years of experience working as a freelance translator and during all my years of practice, I have always made sure to provide my clients with accurate and faithful translations. I have also worked for 7 years in a translation agency in the areas of Quality Control and Project Management, which placed me on the other end of this line of work and taught me about the other essential skills a good freelancer must have. I am a thorough researcher, a meticulous proofreader, and, above all, a reliable and responsible professional who guarantees to finish projects in an efficient and timely manner.
The services I have provided include technical, legal, and general translations. In the technical area, I have mainly worked for an oil production company translating, for example, instruction manuals, ASTM Standards, and publications in specialized magazines. In the legal area, I have translated academic records, degrees, and powers of attorney. However, in the last years, I have dedicated my work to the area of general translation dealing with documents such as brochures, newspaper articles, and the transcription and translation of everyday conversation and correspondence (mainly from people who are incarcerated in the United States).
Until recently, and for several years, I also worked in a translation agency as the last link in the translation chain. I was in charge of proofreading and editing the work of translators before submitting it to the final client. This type of work trained me to pay special attention to details, not only in relation to the text but also to the format, and to make sure that all of the translations met the requirements of every client.
