My education background is in Biotech with postgraduate experience in Molecular Medicine. I have been reading a lot of scientific papers/journals, therefore its terminology is not an alien to me. I also won several best poster awards!

After spending a good 6 years with scientific community, I took a leap into corporate world and started my career as an Application Specialist. Working with a Biotech multi-national company, I further hone my experience and role in sales, marketing, as well as business development. Seeing a growing need to have a posh business vocabulary, I assigned myself to a Business English course. Since then, I have been writing numerous business plans and present it to senior management team.

I have been doing translation work from time to time on request basis and I find the work to be truly enjoyable. It first started as I volunteered to find assignment material for visually-impaired students and helped them translating from English to Bahasa Malaysia. I later took a course in Academic English Writing and it has provided me with a structure of understanding and interpreting concept of a text. I also have an experience translating a thesis majoring in Sustainability from English to Bahasa Malaysia, as well as proofreading an assignment in Clinical Embryology.

My proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia comes from my experience as an expatriate based in Jakarta for ten years. Therefore, I can do general translation from Bahasa Indonesia to English or to Bahasa Malaysia.

Since last couple of years I developed an interest reading autobiography. Some of my collections are A Doctor in The House (Tun Dr. Mahathir), My Name is Hasmah (Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah), Lean In (Sheryl Sandberg), The Ride of a Lifetime (Robert Iger), Born A Crime (Trevor Noah), How I Learned to Understand The World (Hans Rosling), and The Choice (Edith Eger) to name a few. I cannot wait to start My Life In Full by Indra Nooyi, but I am going to finish How To Avoid A Climate Disaster by Bill Gates first!

I only take one project at a time until completion as I prefer spending time analyzing the content and do necessary research on the topic. You may send a short content of your document for me to translate shall you see the need to evaluate the quality of my work before committing.
