Hello! My name is Ellen Corbett. I am a translator and proofreader working from English, Irish and German into English and Irish.

In 2019 I received a 1:1 in my BA International with German and Léann an Aistriúcháin (Irish Translation Studies) as well as a 2:1 in the Dioplóma sa Ghaeilge, both from NUI Galway.

In the same year, my translation of a short story for children was published in An Reiviú (2019). I was the first undergraduate to receive this honour. 

I am also a Fulbright Alum; teaching Irish at the University of Montana during the academic year 2019/20

I am currently undertaking an MA in Translation at Queen's University, Belfast.
