Source text - English Li Bai first made a name for himself as the greatest living swordsman of his day with the "Marking of the Vermilion Gate", after which he left Chang'an on a long, wandering, and at times dissolute, journey across the empire as a travelling swordsman with something to prove. Li Bai eventually returned to his hometown on the Cloud Desert many years later, only to find ruins where the bustling community had once stood. Li Bai's first suspicions turned immediately to Chang'an City, its major rival, and he aggressively sought an audience with the Empress herself. His initial effort at justice unsuccessful, Li Bai quickly found himself exiled from Chang'an City for his efforts. Many years have passed, but it is thought that the fires of Li Bai's furious vengeance still burns bright against Chang'an City and that his sword shall eventually be turned again in its direction.
