Bio
2005-2020: After 10+ years of program officer experience in an economic think-tank, served as a coordinator cum proofreader and translator at a language service organization, in charge of max. 300+ translation and interpretation projects per year, including multilanguage business/marketing/tourism/medical/technical texts, administrative information, educational materials, and various certifications for immigration procedures, etc. In addition, spoke and wrote on community translation/interpretation for public sector and citizen volunteers.
At the same time, translated poetry, especially haiku and tanka, as well as related articles, from English to Japanese and vice versa, to be published or circulated at international conferences. Also welcome food and beverage-related documents. Thoroughly adaptable for “transcreation” and localization.
