Lynn Blake spürte die Kälte nicht, diesen eisigen Wind einer fremden Stadt.
Dabei war sie ein echtes California Girl, geboren und aufgewachsen an der sonnigen amerikanischen Westküste. Lynn wohnte in Los Angeles, verbrachte ihre Sommer beim Surfen und kannte die edelsten Shopping Adressen von Beverly Hills wie ihre Westentasche. Doch nun stand sie auf dem Markusplatz von Venedig und kam sich vor wie in einem Traum. Die mächtigen Gebäude aus längst vergangenen Jahrhunderten verzauberten sie.
Der nasskalte Wind von der Lagune her zauste ihre rotblonde Fransenfrisur. Es war ein ungemütlicher Februartag. Lynns Chef hatte vor der Abreise darauf bestanden, dass sie Winterkleidung anzog. Da verstand Arno Leonardi keinen Spaß, wenn er auch sonst eher unkonventionell war.
„Du warst noch niemals in Europa, Lynn. Die dunkle Jahreszeit kann dort richtig eisig sein. Wenn dich dein eigenes Zähneklappern nicht von der Arbeit abhalten soll, dann brauchst du warme Kleidung.”
Lynn trug einen dreiviertellangen modischen Mantel und einen kuscheligen roten Wollschal. Doch es lag nicht an ihrem Outfit, dass ihr die frostigen Temperaturen nichts ausmachten. Vielmehr hatte dieser magische Ort sie in seinen Bann geschlagen.
Lynns Begegnung mit Venedig war Liebe auf den ersten Blick.

Lynn morava em Los Angeles, passava o verão surfando e conhecia os endereços dos Shoppings mais Nobres de Beverly Hills como sua Bolsa do Oeste. Mesmo assim ela estava na Praça de São Marcos em Veneza e parecia estar em um sonho. Os prédios suntuosos do século passado a encantavam.
O vento molhado da Lagoa meneava o penteado de franja do seu cabelo louro avermelhado. Era um dia desagradável do mês de fevereiro. Antes da viagem o chefe de Lynn exigiu que ela vestisse roupas de inverno. Arno Leonardi não estava brincando, pois normalmente ele era bem inconvencional.
" Você nunca esteve na Europa, Lynn. A estação mais escura do ano pode ser realmente congelante. Você vai precisar usar roupas quentes, se quiser que seu ranger de dentes não te impeça de trabalhar."
Lynn usava um elegante manto três quartos e um cachecol vermelho de lã macia. Apesar de estar usando roupas quentes esse não era o motivo pelo qual a temperatura gelada não lhe afetava. Bem mais seria o feitiço deste lugar mágico.
O encontro de Lynn com Veneza foi de amor à primeira vista.

Source text - Spanish El cuervo había empleado más de una semana en busca de un lugar para instalarse. Una tarde, cuando volaba encima de un florido campo, alcanzó a ver unas abejas libando néctar de las flores. De inmediato buscó el sitio adonde estaba la colmena a la cual pertenecían aquellas abejas. Una vez localizó la misma, descendió a un árbol cercano y allí decidió quedarse.
Durante varios días el cuervo se dedicó a observar los movimientos de las abejas. Iba de una a otra rama del árbol, siempre con la mirada fija en el tronco hueco adonde se hallaba la colmena, procurando informarse sobre cómo era la vida que llevaban.
Cuando el cuervo consideró que ya sabía lo suficiente, como para realizar sus planes, esperó pacientemente a que se le presentara la ocasión para llevarlos a efecto.
Una mañana, al ver que un zángano volaba solo, pensó que la suerte le sonreía y voló a su encuentro.
El cuervo, al ver que el zángano se alarmaba con su presencia, se acercó y le dijo:
-No te alarmes, amigo. Yo lo único que deseo es hablar contigo unos minutos.
-¿Y... sobre qué? -respondió, asustado, el zángano.
-No temas, amigo. Acompáñame a mi árbol y allí hablaremos -dijo el cuervo.
El zángano confió en el cuervo y lo siguió hasta el árbol en que éste vivía. Luego que estaban posados en una rama muy alta, el cuervo dijo:
-He venido interesándome en la vida de la colmena y considero que es injusto el destino que las abejas tienen deparado a ustedes los zánganos.
Translation - Portuguese O corvo estava se empenhando a mais de uma semana em busca de um lugar par se instalar. Uma tarde, enquanto sobrevoava um campo florido, pode ver algumas abelhas sorvendo o néctar das flores. Imediatamente ele procurou onde estava a colmeia a qual as abelhas pertenciam. Assim que a localizou, desceu até uma arvore próxima e lá decidiu ficar.
Durante vários dias o corvo se dedicou a observar os movimentos das abelhas. Ia de um galho da arvore para o outro, sempre com os olhos fixos no tronco oco onde se encontrava a colmeia, tentando informar-se sobre como era a vida que levavam.
Quando o corvo considerou que já sabia o suficiente para realizar seus planos, esperou pacientemente até que apareceu a oportunidade para colocar-los em pratica.
Uma manha, ao ver que um zangão voava sozinho, pensou que a sorte estava do seu lado e voou ao seu encontro.
O corvo, ao ver que o zangão se alarmava com a sua presença, se aproximou e disse:
- Não tenha medo amigo. Eu o único que desejo é falar com você por alguns minutos.
- E… sobre o que? - respondeu, o zangão assustado.
- Não tema, amigo. Acompanhe-me até a minha arvore e lá poderemos conversar - disse o corvo.
O zangão confiou no corvo e o seguiu até a arvore onde ele vivia. Assim que pousaram em um galho alto, o corvo disse:
- Eu comecei a interessar-me pela vida na colmeia e considero que é injusto o destino que as abelhas estão impondo aos zangões.
