Translation - English 1.2.2. This standard covers:

Dentro de las principales actividades que realizan en Petróleos Mexicanos y Organismos Subsidiarios, se encuentra la recolección, transporte y distribución de hidrocarburos y fluidos corrosivos; actividades que requieren mantener actualizada la normatividad técnica aplicable para cumplir con los objetivos de la empresa.
Con base en lo anterior es necesario definir los requerimientos mínimos, bajo los cuales se deben diseñar, construir y poner en operación los ductos de transporte de hidrocarburos a base de resina reforzada con fibra de vidrio; para ello Petróleos Mexicanos emite la edición 2008 de la presente norma.

Among the main activities performed in PEMEX and its Subsidiary Entities, there is the collection, transportation and distribution of hydrocarbons and corrosive fluids; activities that require to keeping the technical regulations updated the technical regulations applicable to meet with the company objectives.
Based on the above it is necessary to define the minimum requirements under which it must be designed, built and started operation of the fiber glass-reinforced resin transportation pipe, for this purpose PEMEX issues the 2008 edition of this standard.
