I am originally from California and have lived in a number of places including seven years living and working in São Paulo. I started translating 22 years ago when I was expecting my first child.

Over the years, I have come to specialize in technical translation -- everything from telecom to IT to networking to environmental impact studies. I have 14 years' business experience in a variety of industries, so I know my way around banking, insurance, ecommerce, logistics, equipment rental, municipal taxation, accounting, auditing, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, electric utility disaster recovery and web marketing to name a few.

I work part-time teaching English as a second language, while dedicating myself to cranking out urgent over-the-weekend translations (up to 12,000 words). I also translate smaller and longer-term projects during the week.
