My name is Simona Patru and I am a freelance translator authorized by the Romanian Ministry of Justice, no. 35196.

I also gained additional insights into the translation industry by being part of many English projects and competitions (in Italy and Croatia), where I was confronted with the day to day challenges.

I have been working as a General Manager for the Great Lakes Inn hotel in Mackinaw City, Michigan for the last six summers and I have closely studied the American slang.

I am currently working with SDI Media Romania (subtitling) and Swiss Solutions and Professional Translations (translating), as well as on individual projects with several attorney offices or law courts.
My home office equipment includes a laptop with a high speed internet connection, printer, flatbed scanner and copy machine. I can work with files created with all main MS Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint and Publisher and complex PDF or InDesign files.
