Japanese to English: market view General field: Other Detailed field: Real Estate
Translation - English The vacancy rate for ○○ in the second quarter of 2009 reported the sixth consecutive rise, at x.x%. The rate reached x% for the first time in three years and nine months, since the third quarter of 2005.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amid ongoing erosion of demand in the entire market, some buildings are scheduled for completion next quarter and beyond.
New completions might not necessarily prompt demand in the recent economic environment.
Due to the concern of secondary vacancies, a further gap between supply and demand might be expected.

Education and Experience:
I am well-educated in Japanese, English and Portuguese. I've got 4-year BA degree in socio-linguistics (culture and language specialized in Portuguese studies). I'm also a qualified teacher of Japanese language and culture holding Post-graduate diploma which evidences that I can analyse my own mother tongue from different angles too. Teaching experience also helps a lot in translation. I have worked as in-house translator in an internationally well-known real estate firm, where my main translation was appraisal/valuation reports and market views from Japanese to English. After becoming sole proprietor, I have been working in different fields serving as interpreter and linguist, but I also accept document translation and transcription on some occasions.
About work:
I'm an experienced interpreter. I have an excellent command of all three languages stated above, and good eyes and ears for linguistic analysis. Dictionaries give us a list of words, but analyzing the original sense and applying the best describing translation is far more important. Each language works differently. It means direct translation is not always the best solution. I try my best to produce documents with the highest quality possible.
In face-to-face translation, my work has been acknowledged as accurate and thorough as well as professional, resulting in trusts from my clients and continuous business.
Since I became sole proprietor and started everything from scratch in 2010 now I've got a very honest and decent clients with whom I enjoy good business relationships. My hard-work was recognised and rewarded by every single client and people involved.
As per description above, I'm very hard-working, careful and sensitive in details, punctual, professional and yet modest to learn.
I offer very competitive rates for the best quality service. I'm very flexible and respectful about any issues such as rates and payment day. I deliver the work on time. I assure you I'm trust worthy. Please do not hesitate to consult any issues or questions prior to outsourcing the work. I will be happy to negotiate.
Looking forward to working with you in the near future!
