Knowing the LA county area, the first thing to do is to figure out where everyone attending lives and/or would be willing to meet. I live on the Westside and work in Burbank, so I'm somewhat flexible to meeting somewhere between the Westside and the San Fernando Valley.

Meeting in / around Long Beache (perhaps a meteing room can be available during the weekend in the CSU LB student activities center?) or somewhere in a northern part of Orange County might well be very convenient, esp. due to the number of highways that cross there.

I realize I may now be in the minority, but Long Beach on a week night may be a bit difficult for me unless it's a bit later in the evening. Could we do something a bit more towards the middle of LA County? Perhaps Gardena or Torrance...

Re the selected location: Torrance or wherever beyond LA downtown?
Re the feasability of this date:

Great, this thing is finally coming together! I am fine with May 4, Wed, but I see how this might be awkward or perhaps understandingly difficult for some people.
