.. but if forced, I'd vote 'chips', by which I'd actually mean crisps.

If I much while working at all, then it would be chili tortilla chips or cabanossi.
In any case, something "hearty".

I am on a strict diet due to health problems, so all I am allowed to have is a couple of mugs of tea, (English style).
Never mind, in the future, if all goes well, I'll get back to my salt 'n vinegar crisps.
Have a great day out there
Nigel. | |

Don't munch while working-Don't work while munching | Mar 27, 2011 |
Otherwise both work and food are digested badly.
Especially when it comes to inedible and/or uneatable things like chips
I'm a terrible one for snacking and munching between meals, as bear witness my girth, especially since giving up smoking again. But on reflection I realize I don't do so when working on a translation. It grips me enough. So, please, more work!

I would love to munch chips, or anything listed and not listed, but I don't do it simply because don't want to type at the keyboard with greasy or sticky hands:) I also try not to munch anything between meals, which is probably good for health. Full concentration:)

My favorite...
Usually it's wrapped chocolate sweets - I don't appreciate typing with dirty hands, too =)

...so reasonable for your healt, it would distract me anyway:) it's better to concentrate on a translation then on a munching:)
No food is getting near this computer! | Mar 27, 2011 |
But coffee, tea, cold water, and gum do help keep me awake... and focused. The drinks stay on a pull-out shelf well away from my keyboard and other peripherals though.

I a gree with Takako... sticky hands are a nono, as is anything that may lead to crumbs falling into the cracks between keys.
I may occasionally have a coffee with a croissant or similar bun, which I keep in my left hand to eat while browsing an online newspaper or proz with the other, but in general I prefer to keep work and other activities separate.
Only junk food listed, grrr | Mar 27, 2011 |
How about fruit? When I have a bowl of grapes on my desk, they never last long.
