drag drop error studio 2009 does not open (still) Jun 17, 2011

Dear Colleagues,

This is the closest of the questions on this forum which is related to the problem I have but I still haven't found a solution for it so I would appreciate all the help you can offer.

Remove dotnet Oct 12, 2011

Hi,

I'm just reopening this thread because I just happened to have this issue.

This is oviously caused by a Windows .Net update not compatible with Trados.

The easiest way to fix it is to download dotnet cleaner and to get rid of dotnet (be carefu, some apps might not work anymore after that). Once uninstalled it should work. Then you can try reinstallin... See more

I'm just reopening this thread because I just happened to have this issue.

This is oviously caused by a Windows .Net update not compatible with Trados.

The easiest way to fix it is to download dotnet cleaner and to get rid of dotnet (be carefu, some apps might not work anymore after that). Once uninstalled it should work. Then you can try reinstalling dotnet 2.0 or 3.0 and see if the issue is coming again.

That worked for me (W7 starter - Trados 2009 SP3 - Samsung N220). No need to reinstall everything.

And be careful when downloading these stupid painful Microsoft updates.
