I haven't given much feedback on the BB, maybe only 3 or 4 agencies, and I am pretty sure that the other entries to those agencies were pretty consistent with what I had written, too.
I also noticed that although one agency was what I would call difficult, they still somehow got good ratings on the BB, but then again, perhaps people are just more likely to post feedback on agencies they like, as opposed to those that were bad experiences. I know that I have only posted positive feedback, since if I post negative feedback I know that the agency can read what I wrote, know it's me and respond to it, potentially accusing me of something, and of course I have no desire to start that kind of tit-for-tat, I'd prefer to just post the positive feedback and leave it at that. ▲ Collapse | | | Ralf Lemster Germany Local time: 13:37 English to German + ... BB is usefull | Jul 8, 2005 |
I always check the BB before working for a new agency but I have already worked for agencies with bad comments on BB but then i take more precautions. I ask a payment at mid-work or sth like that.
One of my best agencies is one badly quoted in the BB.
Common sense is also usefull and analyse the BB also.. and inquire.. | | | Blue Board has been updated to allow multiple entries | Jul 20, 2005 |
Thanks for all the input in this thread! We have updated the Blue Board in a way that will address some of the issues raised here.
For example, it is now possible to make entries once per year for each outsourcer (provided that you have worked again for that outsourcer since your last entry). Also, outsourcer average LWAs are shown not just overall, but also for the past year. For mor... See more Thanks for all the input in this thread! I have also done test translations for a couple of companies, who promised to get back to me within a few days.
The other day I suddenly received an email from a very large, very respectable company saying something like: "Sorry for this late reply. You passed the test. Please let us know if you would be interested in working with us". This came from a company that I did a test for over 3 months ago, and I haven't replied. This may, however, not be true at all, but they really made a bad impression on me, and then I judge by that.
I still think the BlueBoard is the way to go - especially since we got the new option to edit an entry! (Although this may also be dangerous....A client has previously tried to intimidate me into changing my not-so-nice entry about them, and some might just do this?)
Just my two cents. ▲ Collapse | | | Ralf Lemster Germany Local time: 13:37 English to German + ... Contact a Jobs moderator... | Jul 29, 2005 |
Hi PCovs,
I still think the BlueBoard is the way to go - especially since we got the new option to edit an entry!
That option existed before - what's new is that you'll be able to enter an additional one after a year.
(Although this may also be dangerous....A client has previously tried to intimidate me into changing my not-so-nice entry about them, and some might just do this?)
This is expressly forbidden by the BB FAQ (#11) - anyone who should find themselves pressurised should contact a Jobs moderator.
Best regards,
Ralf | |

I know this feature is not knew. A matter of not proofreading my entries before posting them )
And I know that you should contact a moderator if pressurised, my point simply is that it can be hard e.g. to say goodbye to a lot of money not yet paid by the client. | | | Claudio Porcellana (X) Italy
but if you remove your score (expecially a high one), and you can always do it, their LWA downs matematically ....
