Frankly I am not quite sure whether I understand translation portal right.
But if you are looking for some suggestions on how to be a good translator good at translation, my answer will be Interests + Practice + Persistence.
As saying goes, no pain, no gain. If your are really interested in translation, then stick to it, and hard works will be paid off.
Above all, don't lose hope.

Either:
A highly sophisticated networking system such as ProZ.com, where you can build up your profile and your reputation and where customers will find you because they can search the profiles for the translator who will perfectly fill their needs,
Or:
Some silly translation broker website where you can "sign up" and "register" where random people anonymously can order translations like items from a vending machine, and where you can upload your translation to be paid... See more
Either:
