My technical translation capacity is about 2500-3000 words/day, so I usually say 10,000 words for proofreading. However, if an actual job is proposed you should request a sample: your rate will depend critically on the degree of difficuty. Proofreading can range from simply correcting spelling and punctuation, to complete re-writing.
Good luck!
