Interpreter's attitudes

Dear all,
I'm a student in interpreting/translations German>Italian and I have to write my dissertation on interpreter's attitudes and how the temperament of an interpreter influences his/her performance.
Do you know any books about this topic?

Do you mean personality? Or attitudes during the interpreting process? I'm not sure there's much work on either out there.

That's a really fuzzy term Mar 18, 2012

I was at a seminar just this week and the term came up in relation to interpreter evaluation. It seems some systems (the Dutch one was cited) used to have an "IT attitude" requirement, but it was later chalked out as non-measurable and replaced by "skills".

Just an observation. It doesn't mean the topic is not valid for research.
